Question: What does it mean when your girlfriend/fiance of 6 years buys you tupperware for valentines?

For valentines i bought her flowers, chocolates, tickets to a valentine concert, a shirt and some love oils that she would look at when we visited that section of the pharmacy. she got me a tupperware cutting board and bowls. ok i got some quick answers but she knows i cook already since i am a single dad of two kids. she hates cooking and reminds me all the time. why would she not buy something more personal like golf balls tees or even some lingerie even though i would not wear it but the thought would be that she would wear it later and that would be my present.

Its the nesting phase of a relationship. She is trying to establish a home with you. So in order to start doing that she is buying things that you two would need in a place for the two of you. And its not just that she thinks that you need tupperware, cutting boards, and bowls, she thinks that she will need them as well. It may seem like a non-romantic gift, but she is trying to set up a life together with you by "preparing the home. " Sounds like you have a girl who loves you very much. I wish you two much happiness.

Do you like to cook? That may be why. And in truth it is really hard to shop for men especially for v-day. So,maybe she figured a safe gift would be to get you something you can really use.

Have you been hinting lately that these are things you need? Do you like cooking? I imagine a girl who's known you for 6 years probably knows you well enough to buy you gifts that you'd need somehow.

It means she thinks of you and doesn't like to be ordinary when buying gifts. She's trying to tell you that she would like you to cook for her occasionally. That can be a romantic experience. It could have a huge payoff.
